Pianist Nathaniel LaNasa has performed at Carnegie Hall, Benaroya Hall, Music Academy of the West, the Aspen Music Festival, Bowdoin International Music Festival, the Institute and Festival for Contemporary Performance, Museum of Modern Art, (le) Poisson Rouge, Princeton University’s Richardson Auditorium, and the Seattle Opera House, as well as in venues in Ireland, Italy, Spain, and France. Praised for her “musicality and confidence in abundance” [Showcase Magazine] Canadian pianist Vanessa May-lok Lee is much sought after as a collaborative pianist. PETER ROVIT
Violin Faculty

Peter Rovit is the Concertmaster of Symphoria and on the faculty of Hamilton College.  He was among the last students of Josef Gingold at Indiana University where he also studied Baroque violin with Stanley Ritchie.  His other teachers have included Mitchell Stern, Philip Setzer, Cho-Liang Lin, Paul Kantor and Donald Weilerstein.  As a chamber musician, recitalist, and soloist he has performed throughout the United States, in Russia, Cuba, and at music festivals such as Aspen, Taos, Yellow Barn, and Skaneateles.  A concerto competition winner at bot the Hartt School... (more)

JULIA MINJEONG KANG
Cello Faculty

Known for her mastery of lyricism and versatility, cellist Julia MinJeong Kang constantly expands her boundaries as a musician by combining the new and traditional ways of playing the cello. She is a founder of AKDuo (Aomori-Kang Duo), a group that combines pop, classical, and jazz elements in a new innovative approach. She plays with her husband Tomoya Aomori, and together they have appeared live in Vermont Public Radio (VPR) and have performed in many countries across the world. Praised for her eloquent and passionate performances, Korean-born violist/violinist Ye-jin Han made her New York recital debut in 2009 at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall. She has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Korea and has been prize winner at many competitions including the 1st prize at the Five Towns Music and Arts Foundation Young Musician Competition in New York, and the Special Prize at the Citta di Brescia International Violin Competition in Italy.
