LYRA MUSIC PRESENTS SUMMER CLASSICAL MUSIC FESTIVAL
Hudson Valley, NY – The Lyra Music Festival returns to the Hudson Valley for a third year with concerts and masterclass workshops from Sunday, June 30th to Saturday, July 13th, 2024. The Lyra Music Festival returns this summer to present an outstanding series of classical music performances, bringing together world-class musicians, advanced young string players and pianists, and an exceptional faculty of professional musicians and artist educators for concerts, masterclasses, and young artist performances.
The 2024 Lyra Music Festival will feature performances by guest artists: Min-Young Kim, violinist; Clancy Newman, cellist; and pianist, Fei-Fei.

Concerts are open to the public and will take place at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, located at 477 Main Street, Beacon, New York. Masterclass Event will be held at the Storm King School, located on 314 Mountain Road in Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York. Tickets are available for purchase for Guest Artist ($25) and Young Artist ($20) Concert events. Lyra Music Faculty Artist Concert and Guest Artist Masterclass will be free! This year’s Faculty Artist Concert is supported in part by a grant from the Ann and Abe Effron Donor Advised Fund of the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley.
Lyra Music Festival also takes classical music out of the concert hall and into the community, presenting a series of free events and outreach concerts throughout the Hudson Valley. Look for our events in Beacon, Cornwall-on-Hudson, Garrison, New Paltz, Rhinebeck, and Ossining.

Lyra Music is a small non-profit with a mission to contribute meaningfully to the cultural richness of the Hudson Valley. Music brings people together and for two weeks each summer, we strive to create a variety of opportunities for audiences, from formal concert hall performances to family-friendly events. Lyra provides aspiring young musicians the training they need to excel and gives the community access to world-class concerts and free outreach programs performed by Lyra Music guest artists, faculty artists, and young artists. We are dedicated to inspiring tomorrow’s musicians and today’s audiences, breaking down barriers to performance by bringing classical music to life in and out of the concert hall.

About the Lyra Music Festival: The Lyra Music Festival is an outstanding series of summer classical music events based in Northampton, MA. Each July Lyra brings together world class musicians, talented young string players and pianists with an exceptional faculty of professional musicians and educators for concerts, masterclasses and outreach performances. The 2019 Lyra Music Festival celebrates Lyra Music’s 10th Anniversary bringing live classical music to concert halls and non-traditional venues. Lyra Music is supported in part by grants from the Amherst, Easthampton, South Hadley and Springfield Cultural Councils and the Northampton Arts Council, local agencies which are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency; the Associated Chamber Music Players; and Dean’s Beans Organic Coffee.
